This year 2013 saw the relaunch of the Dublin Community Growers Harvest Festival which will be held in Wolfe Tone Sq. in Dublin city. This event brings all of the community gardens and some allotments together to show case how community can grow good whole some food for their local areas and bring community back into their areas using some unwanted or derelict sites for the benefit of their communities.
Below are some of the photo`s taken at the launch in the Masion House in Dublin City on March 7th.Some of the food was donated from the community gardens and allotments to be served on the night, which I must say was very well prepared by our Master Chef Mary on the night. At the launch was the Dublin City Lord Mayor who opened the launch. Our sponsors and guests and special appearance of Mr.Duncan.Steward from Eco-eye.

South Circular Road Community Food Garden Project

The South Circular Road Community Food Garden Project started in April 2007. We have a derelict site on loan from ST Salvage Company that we have converted into a community food garden. This is a continuation of the initial successful Dolphins Barn Community squatted food garden that was on the canal from 2005 -2007.
